Next year marks the 30th anniversary of the series, which began on June 30, 1995, with its debut on the original PlayStation. Kazutoki Kono, the producer of Ace Combat, hinted that Bandai Namco might have something special planned to celebrate this milestone. “The new Ace Combat game will take a bit more time to announce, but since 2025 marks the series’ 30th anniversary, I want to celebrate it properly with all the fans,” Kono stated on the Japanese website 4Gamer.
While no official confirmation has been made, Kono’s remarks suggest that a significant reveal could be on the horizon. The next installment in the Ace Combat series has been in development since 2021 in collaboration with ILCA. However, details remain scarce—its final name and the platforms it will release on are still unknown.
For now, fans of Ace Combat will need to remain patient, but 2025 is shaping up to be a pivotal year for this legendary aerial combat franchise.
