The only official information about Nintendo Switch 2 is its launch before March 31 and backward compatibility with current Switch games. However, numerous leaks have surfaced online, shedding light on its design and components. The latest leak focuses on the Joy-Con controllers, with detailed images from China showing official Nintendo logos and hardware certifications.
These leaks reveal that the new Joy-Con are larger than the originals, featuring significantly enlarged SL and SR buttons. Additionally, a reader or input element is visible halfway up the controller, possibly linked to a “surprise feature” activated when detached. The design includes magnetic functionality and colors visible only when the controllers are removed from the console.
While these details remain unconfirmed, the consistency across leaks lends them credibility. As Nintendo Switch 2’s release approaches, an official announcement may come soon. Speculated launch titles include Metroid Prime 4 and a new Mario Kart.
