Steven Ogg, the actor behind Grand Theft Auto 5’s wild and unpredictable Trevor Phillips, recently expressed his thoughts on the character’s potential return in GTA 6. During an interview with ScreenRant, Ogg revealed his unique idea: Trevor should make an appearance in the upcoming game only to be killed off in the opening scene. He suggested this dramatic farewell would mirror Trevor’s brutal introduction in GTA 5, where he murdered Johnny Klebitz, the protagonist of GTA 4: The Lost and the Damned.
“It would be fun if Trevor appeared in it just to be killed at the beginning,” Ogg explained. He believed this would provide fans with closure while also symbolically passing the torch to the next generation of characters. In his words, it would be a way to say, “Thank you,” to long-time fans of the series while making room for new stories and protagonists.
This potential storyline would likely involve one of GTA 6’s dual protagonists, Jason or Lucia. While neither character has been revealed to possess Trevor’s chaotic energy, the Grand Theft Auto series is known for pushing boundaries in violence and storytelling. So far, Rockstar has only released a single trailer for GTA 6, showcasing the game’s return to Vice City and teasing an incredible level of detail.
With no additional footage or updates from Rockstar over the past year, fans have taken to creating their own content, such as building a GTA 6 map in GTA 5. For now, the future of Trevor’s character remains a thrilling mystery.
